What are Hat Clips for?Our hat clip is composed of an oval base with a magnetic round ball marker attached. During a round of golf, a golfer once he reaches the putting green are allowed to lift and clean his ball only if the ball's position is marked with a ball marker. This is rule 16-1b from the United States Golf Association (USGA) rulebook.
