(More customer reviews)I am a musician/guitar player. I am also an avid golfer. For whatever reason it never even occured to me to use a metronome for a golf swing. Yet when my Teacher Bill McInerny Jr. suggested I use one, it made perfect sense after a few swings.
As a musician, a metronome is perhaps the second most important piece of equipment after the actual instrument itself. So many flaws are caused by incorrect timing, rushing, lagging etc...with a metronome it is virtually impossible to have those flaws as the click makes you focus through the swing. Be warned: This is not a quick fix. It will take patience and perseverance! Much like playing scales on a guitar. You can't crank the metronome to 200BPM and expect to shred it up automatically. It requires a slow methodical approach with steady consistent gains in tempo over time. If you have the dedication to slow things down and F O C U S on your swing, you will teach yourself proper technique and muscle memory that WILL translate to a full speed swing. But you must be disciplined and NOT CHEAT, or else you are wasting your time.
As we guitarists say: Practice perfectly slow to be able to play perfectly fast. I've noticed that the exact same concept applies to golf, and the Golf Metronome is the perfect tool for teaching slow precise movement that will translate into a great consistent swing! Highly recommended!
