(More customer reviews)I work in construction outside in cold weather. I use to use regular beanies to keep my head warm. After a couple of years I started to search for a warmer material, as sometime the regular beanie is not enough. I bought a microfleece ski hood that covers your neck and your face. I finally found a warmer material. The problem I had with this new hood was two things. One it would seem to allow a little cold through, I think it is because the material was not thick enough, I think it needs a wind breaker. I have seen other microfleece on jackets and came to the conclusion that the fleece is about the same thickness. The other problem I had was that the microfleece gathered condensation, probably from my hard hat and persperation on my head. Resulting in a wet and cold head. I had to combine these two in order to fix the problems. It worked! The old beanie would work as in wicking out the moister from the persperation on my head. The new problem was the bulk of the fabrics on my head. I had a problem keeping on my hard hat.
In this new product I read that it combines's both microfleece and the regular beanie material much like I had done but with a slim fit. I have just received it in the mail at the beginning of Nov. I have not had a chance to use it. The difference between my invention and this Addidas beanie is the thickness. The thickness in this beanie is about the same as a regular beanie with the exception that this one has what looks to be a thin microfleece linner. It is on the inside of the beanie, reverse from mine invention. I have bought other microfleece beanies in the past, none that I have liked. This one incredibly stretches just like a regular beanie plus it covers your ears fully. I have a big head and this beanie cover it no problem. Something I have had problems with in other microfleece beanies. This one seems to have eliminated the entire problems of other beanies. I can't wait to try it. The aesthetics do look nice. 5 Stars!
