He realized how much more effective this is in keeping the sun of his face, neck, and ears. He finds it very light weight and comfortable to wear. It is a very well-designed, high quality hat, and comes in many sizes to fit your head precisely. I also have this hat, and after trying many different types of hats for protecting my head and face on the beach, this one is by far my favorite. It is not the cutest, most glamorous hat for a woman, but it is certainly cute enough and not dorky. Well worth the price.
